Here we have an AV-8B Harrier jet from the US Marine Corps and it is being piloted by Captain William Mahoney.
What makes The Harrier so special? Well, for one the jet that has the potential for a vertical landing! That is if your landing gear is all in place. This pilot takes off and suddenly realizes that he has a landing gear malfunction of some sort. It’s not until he returns and hovers above where his crew discovers that he basically has no way to land, without the front end crashing violently down on the carrier.
