“Comfort Zone” is something you’re familiar with, and what you feel safe — your usual habits and routines.
Spending some time in your comfort zone is no big deal. But the problem is, you get too comfortable staying in your comfortable zone. When this happen, you stop trying to achieve your goals.
However, Roy T. Bennett once said: “You never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone; Change begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
So, let me share with you some tips on how to step out.
1. Make A Plan
“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”– Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Yes, you can’t succeed at anything if you don’t start planning. Create a list and enumerate it.
But you need to consider first the outcome of each goal before making an action. Why? Because, it can affect your life in the future.
2. Make A Move
“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”– Mark Twain
Actually, it’s quite scary when you switch your normal routine, but you’ll never know what lies ahead if you don’t just take a simple step.
3. Accept The Challenges
“Challenge and adversity are meant to help you know who you are. Storms hit your weakness, but unlock your true strength.” – Roy T. Bennett
So, instead of telling yourself these negative phrases like…
• “It’s very hard. I can’t do it!”
• “I’m such a failure!”
• “Others are better than I am”
Accept the challenge as an opportunity to develop yourself and discover what you can do more to reach your goals. It is like finding the right key to open the door that blocks your way.
Be a resilient person. Learn how to find the positive aspects of the circumstances you are in. Once a difficulty has passed, just move on to the next challenge.
By doing that, you’re starting to build self-confidence and you can trust yourself to overcome future obstacles.
